Damage to the back of a label such as tape, glue, paper
loss, or significant aging can reduce grade of the label
by one to two grades..
2. Original holes that came
from a salesman’s sample book do not affect the grade. Holes
in the label which are not accompanied by any other notation
indicating a sample label, will not be considered a salesman’s
sample.
3. A label will not be graded
for any of the following reasons:
a) Evidence of restoration such as re-coloring or significant repair
b)
If the label is altered in any way
c)
Questionable authenticity (such as a forgery or a reproduction
4. Images with significantly
improper registration or that are significantly off-center,
cannot receive a grade higher than “Mint".
